| The AMS Machinery
Manager integrates up to eight predictive monitoring technologies
so the user has a complete understanding of the health of
the asset. These technologies are included as modular applications
for recognizing different types of mechanical assets and
unique failure symptoms:
While maintenance personnel may specialize in different
monitoring technologies, the common user interface and database
administration tools between the modules make the integration
of asset health information easy to understand by all users.
Correlating the machine degradation symptoms from multiple
technologies into a single database means the diagnosis
will be more accurate and the root cause of the problem
can be fixed once versus fixing the symptoms over and over
again.
Some technology modules offer different levels of functionality,
providing both a beginner level and an advanced growth path
for users as their reliability skill and expertise increase.
The integrated modular approach makes it easy to install
a new technology.
With a common user interface and reporting tools, users
have a shorter learning curve with each new technology.
The true technology integration in the AMS Machinery Manager
eliminates the need for costly customized integration services
and the on-going maintenance required to tie together several
different diagnostic systems for a similar view of mechanical
asset health.
Technology Modules
Portable and Online Vibration Technology
Portable and online vibration devices provide data to AMS
Machinery Manager, where the vibration analysis module tracks
the data and performs advanced analysis. The rule-based
automated diagnostic program identifies a variety of common
machinery problems and acts as both a second opinion and
data screening tool. The AutoStat module statistically calculates
the analysis parameters and alarms levels based on actual
machine vibrations and running conditions.
Oil Technology
The oil analysis module offers features for bench-top oil
analysis equipment operation, full laboratory analysis management,
and advanced wear debris analysis.
Motor Technology
The motor analysis Silver module offers motor current signature
rotor bar analysis. The Gold module adds temperature trending
analysis, phase voltage analysis, flux stator analysis and
rotor bar analysis.
Ultrasonic Technology
The ultrasonics module trends and reports ultrasonic data
for detecting compressed gas or air leaks, steam trap and
valve analysis, and contact probe bearing lubrication analysis.
Infrared Technology
The infrared thermography module receives infrared and visible
light images from the infrared camera and performs post-scan
analysis of the images for temperature profiling, isotherms,
and correlating infrared data with other technologies. Infrared
thermography can be used in electrical, mechanical, and
structural applications to help extend asset availability
and performance.
Laser Alignment and Balancing
The corrective technology modules document and report on
laser alignment and balancing both before and after corrective
action is taken.
